Printing

1/8/2015

  • Students are given a limited number of print credits at the beginning of grade 10.  These credits are expected to last to the end of grade 12.  To see how many credits remain, hover over the dollar sign at the bottom right of the screen when logged in to the network.
  • Most school student computers print to the library photocopier located at the west end of the checkout counter.  Please note that printout can be found at about knee height in the middle of the machine.

Network Access

1/8/2015

  • Each student has access to the school server.  User names are all configured like this: firstnmame.lastname  Passwords are provided in grade 10 classes.  Students are expected to keep track of their passwords until grade 12.  Passwords can be changed by pressing Ctrl/Alt/Delete and selecting change password.  We recommend students save their passwords in their electronic device or another safe location.
  • If a student forgets his/her password, s/he needs to see either Ms. McCann (teacher-librarian) or Ms. Tether (teacher-librarian).
  • Access the school network from at home through this site: https://remote.sd23.bc.ca
  • A guest network is available at the school.  All non-school district devices can only log into the guest network, not the secure sd23 network.  Username and password are still required.  Printing is not available from outside devices.
